Whey-hey, a page all about me!

Welcome to my website. My name is Paul Hitz and I'm a student at University College Cork (UCC). I'm currently undertaking a four-year long degree course in Computer Science. UCC is located (as the name suggests) in Cork, a small city in the south of Ireland. Feel free to email me about the site or anything else for that matter!

That's a good question, what do i do???? Well, I suppose I spend a lot of time programming (but not enough judging by my enormous backlog!) and far too much time socialising, playing pool and karting. These days I spend the majority of my time developing various websites such as the UCC Computer Science Society (CompSoc) website and an advanced book review website. I am currently the CompSoc webmaster and recently designed a brand new website for the society (Check it out).

Apologies to everyone who I forgot!

I originally created this site when I was in first year and continued to modify it for another four years. Over those four years it went through many different versions and it's still far from perfect. Unfortunately, I am unable to update or maintain it anymore because it is hosted on a UCC server and I have now graduated (and no longer have access rights to the server). Consequently, my personal information may be out-of-date, no more jokes will be added and expect to see lots of spam in the guestbook. I could have moved the website to another server but choose to leave it on the college one since the content of the site very much reflects my early college life and I have to pretend to be a reliable young professional now! ;)

Anyway, the latest information about me can be found here but, unfortunately, there are no jokes or fun programs!

I hope you enjoyed the site and it made you smile. Thanks to everybody who sent me lovely emails (particularly those who went on to become friends) and those who took the time to sign my guestbook. Thanks for making it all worthwhile!
